Evan was first introduced to yoga through his career in dance. He received his B.A. in Dance from Loyola Marymount University in 2008 and shortly after began his teacher training in his hometown of Berkeley, California. His practice brought him to New York City where he completed his 200hr and additional workshops that focused on anatomy, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. He later moved to North Carolina to deepen his training in yoga therapy with the Asheville Yoga Center. This program refined his skills as a teacher and gave him more tools to assist a broader range of conditions.

After receiving his 300hr certification in Advanced Yoga Therapy he developed a wellness and education program for athletes. In 2016 he returned to Los Angeles where began teaching this program as an adjunct professor at his alma mater. He spent the following two years conducting research with his students on the benefits of incorporating Ayurveda into a yoga practice. In 2018 he presented his research at the Health Wellness and Society Research Network International Conference in London. Evan has been fortunate to have taught around the world and continues to expand his understanding of how to make yoga available to every individual. He now lives in San Diego where he enjoys gardening, cooking, dancing, and writing music.
