Level 2: Introduces greater variations of poses for continuing students. Levels 1 & 2 combined classes provide detailed instructions with options to increase pose difficulty for those who are ready.
Mixed Levels: Utilizes modifications and variations to adjust difficulty based on individual needs. We recommend first time beginners and those with physical restrictions take a minimum of 10 Level 1 or 1 & 2 classes prior to attending Mixed Levels classes.
Level 3: Incorporates more challenging inversions, backbends and arm balances for intermediate students. Not open to beginners or those with injuries / special needs.

Hatha Yoga:
An increasingly sophisticated technology for exploring and balancing body, breath and mind in order to experience wholeness.  All of our yoga classes fall under the Hatha umbrella and  include postures, breathing and a period of relaxation. The various class styles listed below primarily refer to how the postures (asanas) are practiced.
"Hatha" classes at Yoga One emphasize alignment, are great for brand new beginners, those with specific physical concerns, as well as continuing students. They do not include sun salutations typical of flow style classes.

Flow:
Dynamic classes that typically include sun salutations, standing, seated and inverted poses linked with Ujjayi breath. Each class varies by level and instructor, but Flow Yoga generally derives influences from: Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar, Sivananda and Jivamukti yoga styles. We recommend new students or those looking for a more moderate pace begin with Level 1 and Levels 1 & 2 classes.

Vinyasa Flow:
Vinyasa refers to the linking of postures with conscious movement (sun salutations) and Ujjayi breathing as well as the continuity of attention. Vinyasa classes offer an athletic pace with varying emphasis (i.e. hips, backbends, twists, arm balances).

Gentle Flow:
A slower paced class that combines breath and alignment of basic poses. Ideal for beginners  and continuing students looking for a more moderate pace.

Ashtanga:
Similar to Vinyasa Flow classes, Ashtanga classes incorporate sun salutations, Ujjayi breathing and bandhas (energy awareness) but are based on set series of postures.  Our mixed levels class on Thursday will work towards learning the Primary Series, which is cleansing, builds stamina and opens the hips/hamstrings.

Yoga for Backs:
This class is ideal for anyone with back, neck, shoulder or other related injuries or pain looking for a safe rehabilitation or preventative practice.  Also great for beginners who seek a slower, more gentle pace and detailed alignment.

Pre-Natal Yoga:
Guided breathing and stretching tailored for the needs and capabilities of pregnant women. Includes instruction on how to use yoga to ease pregnancy and childbirth. Expectant mothers new to yoga are advised to begin in their fourth month. Partners are always welcome (for an additional $14) and partner work will be emphasized the first Sunday of every month.

Baby & Me Yoga:
Yoga for caretakers and massage for babies (pre-walking).
Please contact us to arrange for a group class - must have a minimum of 6 registrants. 8 classes for $104.

Donation Classes:
A beginning flow style class which Yoga One offers to members of the community on a donation basis ($7 suggested). Those chosen to lead the classes are newer instructors (many of whom completed the Yoga One teacher training) and will rotate on a semi-weekly basis. Feel free to contact us with any feedback.

Deepen your Practice:
Intermediate class focusing on Level 3 poses (i.e. challenging inversions, backbends and arm balances) led by Amy Jo, Paisley and Kris. Every Sunday, 6-8pm.

Belly Dance:
An invigorating class for beginning and continuing students. Led by Leilainia, Belly Dance offers the opportunity to stretch, tone and strengthen your body and spirit.  Classes are now included in all Yoga One packages. Drop-ins welcome ($14).
