"I just wanted to send a quick note to say how incredible last night was! It was my first "Intimate Musical Evening" experience and it did not disappoint. I can't remember the last time I went to see live music - mostly because I'm just tired of standing in super packed bars/music venues and not being able to see the stage at all. Being up so close and being able to see the expressions on the musicians' faces - you can really feel their passion and love for music and what they do. Anyway, thank you for providing such a unique experience. You can be sure I'll be at future ones!" - Ginny

Here's a taste of who has graced our studio with their music:

Glenn Phillips; Toad the Wet Sprocket singer/songwriter.

More About Intimate Musical Evenings at Y1 Studios

From San Diego City Beat:
"What's the soundtrack to your yoga session? Well, apparently, the downward-facing-dog enthusiasts at Y1 Studios (1150 Seventh Ave.) listen to a lot of acoustic troubadours. The studio's Intimate Musical Evening events have really been taking off with shows featuring names like Sean Hayes and Jacob Martin. Dublin-based The Guggenheim Grotto could have easily packed in a crowd at The Casbah or Lestat's, but they went with the Downtown yoga studio instead for their show at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27. The group's most recent album, Happy the Man, just hit No. 1 on the iTunes folk chart, and they have the perfect sound for the bring-a-blanket-and-some-wine-setting of these shows."

Past artists have included: Sean Hayes, Glen Phillips, The Guggenheim Grotto, Jakob Martin, Ari Hest, Lucy Schwartz, Julian Velard, Keaton Simons, Amber Rubarth, Carlos Olmeda, Dawn Mitschele, Aaron Bowen, Lee Coulter, Brodeeva, Stepchylde, Hana Pestle and Simeon Flick. We look forward to sharing an intimate musical evening with you.
